Don’t you just hate it when you go to the cleaning cabinet and you are out of your favorite cleaning product? Been there, done that like 1,000 times. So it’s either a trip to the store or put the cleaning project off. I have found some really great DIY Cleaning “recipes” that I want to share with you.
Fabric Softener
1 – Empty container
5 cups – Hot water
3 cups – White vinegar
2 cups – Hair conditioner
Find a large container. Use an old empty fabric softener container. Mix conditioner and hot water together in empty container until the hair conditioner is completely dissolved in the hot water. Next add the vinegar and mix by shaking the container vigorously. Pour the diy mixture into a downy ball OR use 2 tablespoons in the fabric softener tray in the washing machine.
All Purpose Cleaner
2 Cups Water

Great idea! I decided to try hair conditioner on a whim while I was hand-washing some clothes but just squirted it into the tub. Ended up with blue hair conditioner streaks on some clothes, so I’m definitely going to pre-mix with your recipe next time. Do you have an easy recipe for detergent? -Caitlin

Yes!!!! In my menu under Recipes. I’ve been using this recipe for almost 3yrs. For conditioner I’d use something creamy and ivory/white. No colored conditioners as they contain dyes.
